Preflight
The following is an outline of the various preflight steps performed when we receive your files to ensure everything is OK before production starts.
- Files are first checked to ensure they are virus free
- Text and images are checked for proper placement according to the specifications
- Type fonts used in the file are checked next
- Photos are checked for proper resolution and placement
- PMS and process colors used in the file are compared with the specifications
- Transparency and gradients are checked and flattened for imaging
- PDF proofs are e-mailed to you; OR
- Digital color proofs are sent to you for final approval
Image Assembly
Often, our clients have us do the final editing. These steps may include:
- Retouching of photographs for color balance and tone reproduction
